MILITARY LOANS FOR ACTIVE AND RETIRED OFFICERS



Military loans are tailor made to help the men and women in the uniform in the fields of Afghanistan, Iraq and other hot military zones to develop their financial base at home in terms of asset acquisition, setting up business establishments as well as assist the loved ones move up the larder in life.  Accesses to the loan are for both active and retired military officials. Duty soldiers are working to protect the nation and have little time for managing finances. It is most likely in a crisis loan.

Military loans are an opportunity to use a loan offered at a lower rate than the rate for the civilian population.

  • College tuition fees for family members.

Military Personal Loans

To qualify for a military loan, you must be:

  • A Department of Defense Military Personnel( GS-6 or above)
  • An Active Duty Military Personnel to be able to qualify for a loan for military personnel
  • A Full Time Active Reserve Personnel
  • Retired Military Personnel with a 20 year career

The different military loans available are:

  1. Leadership VIP Military Loan: One can access up to a maximum of $5,000.00
  2. The Bereavement Military Loan: This is a 90-day interest -free military personal loan, and which guarantees approval for those military serving members having family emergencies.
  3. The Disaster Relief Loan: helps provide funds for military families in times of disaster

The main attraction is the loans low interest rates because:

  1. More than one permanent job.
  2. Fixed salary and stored separately from regular services.

Required when applying: show certain documents:

        • Military ETS.
        • Bank statements.
        • Information on wages.

Make sure you are looking for the lenders with a lower interest rate

Military College Loan

This program is for non-prior service enlisted personnel, only. Officers are not eligible.

In a case of accessing a loan to repay a college fees incurred by the military officer, then the following options are open:

  • Loans to cover for undergraduate programs.
  • Loan to cover a soldier’s education expense.

Eligibility

  • You don’t need prior military experience if you are on active duty.
  • For those in the Air Force and the Navy and currently on active duty, they must have been enlisted for at least four years. Those in the Army’s active duty, must have enlisted for at least three years.
  • Those in the Army and Navy Reserves, and the Army and Air National Guard, must have enlisted for more than six years.
  • For those in the Army, a high school diploma is required, and a score of 50 or higher in the Armed Forces Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB).

Repayments

Repayments are made to the lender directly. The first payment is made when the member has completed one year of service. That is after all initial entry training have been completed.
